In an industry where perks are shrinking and customers are becoming more frustrated, Delta is reversing the trend by offering free upgrades to first class the day after a passengers flight.

“We really wanted to step it up in the perks, so we decided to open up some more first class seats for our top customers.” reported a Delta spokesperson. “If there are any seats available after the flight lands, we’ll start to assign them in priority order based on a customer’s shoe size and zip code.”

When confronted with concerns that there may not be any seats left, Delta responded, “While we typically sell all of our first class seats, most of them are vacant after the flight lands and the passengers depart, so we are expecting to have plenty of capacity.”
